NOTICE: This promotion has finished and a member of the Collective has been selected. Thanks to everyone who joined!
On March 15th, a random member of the Collective will be selected to win a Kindle.
Which Kindle? Well, my Kindle. After using my Kindle Touch for about a month, I was able to get the Kindle Paperwhite. Since then (November) my old Kindle has been sitting in my drawer. I feel bad for it … having all that potential not being tapped into. I kept meaning to sell it, but couldn’t work up the will. Then I thought: Hell, I could just give the thing away.
Thus this page. Thus the promotion.
It’s a Kindle Touch, WiFi, without “special offers” or “advertisement screen savers.” It’s in good condition and was used by me (you can decide if that’s a benefit or a drawback). To qualify to win it, you have to be a member of the Creative Writing Collective on March 15th, 2013. It doesn’t matter when exactly you signed up so long as you’re on the list at that time. You also have to be a resident of the continental United States (which is purely a matter of shipping costs).
Of course, the main reward of signing up for the Collective is that you get to be a part of the Collective. Members of the Creative Writing Collective (CWC) receive a weekly update with writing tips, exercises, lessons, and games; writerly humor; exclusive content; and other uber-nifty™ writer-oriented content.
Other freebies are just around the corner, including the exercise collection Write On – Vol 1.: Building a Character and the Oxford Comma “Give Me Clarity or Give Me Death” pins, so stay tuned.
